Build help
After looking around on this forum i came up with this build for my ranger.
12 + 1 + 3 marksmanship
12 + 1 expertise
1. Marksman's wager
2. Drunken master
3. Asuran Scan
4. "I am the strongest"
5. Sundering attack
6. Penetrating attack
7. Precision shot
8. Rez sig
Any suggestions on how i can improve this?
Thanks for any input.

Markman's Wager has only one downside (not comparing it to other elite skills)
and that is missing, so bringing stuff like Favourable winds can improve speed of your arrows, so they aren't dodged that often. also it might be useful to bring something like mending touch or antidote signet when you noticed you're blinded. my heroes don't use condition removal skills such as (Mend body and soul) on me when I'm @ 100% health
(could be wrong though, though I did notice that when I'm blinded I"m blinded for periods such as 5-8 seconds before it's removed)
also, stuff like dual shot or tripple shot might be nice to put in there, since Asuran Scan counters their -x% dmg you basically get 2-3 arrows with no downside.

Here's my suggestion.
1. Prepared Shot [Elite]
2. Penetrating Attack.
3. Sundering Attack.
4. Asuran Scan
5. "IATS!"
6. Read The Wind for more damage + arrows move twice as fast or Rapid Fire for IAS. I'd go with RTW personally.
7. Pain Inverter/EVAS/YMLAD/FH!/Summon Mursaat/Imp/Djinn
8. Rebirth (Monk skill)

Drop +3 rune and get +1 instead. 75 hp is a lot.

He's a Ranger, one of the least death-magnetic professions in GW. Also, if you are R/x, go R/Mo for a hard rez. Rebirth is nice on your build, as you will have no energy problems anyway.

I suggest instead of Marksman's Wager you run Zealous Vow. My ranger runs a build very similar to yours. Here's mine:
Attributes:
Expertise - 12+1+1
Wilderness Survival - 8+1
Marksmanship - 8+1
Wind Prayers - 7
Asura Scan
Zealous Vow [E]
Sundering Attack
Penetrating Attack
Optional (I usually run needling shot though)
Read the Wind
Drunken Master or Lightning Reflexes
"You Move Like a Dwarf"
Hope this helps.

Is Zealous really so worth it to be putting all those extra attribute points into Wind Prayers for one skill, rather than sending those points into Marks for higher damage?

I can't imagine it is. The malus on Wager isn't really that bad. You can regain the energy easily once you start hitting again. With either skill you'll be fine when hitting and run dry when missing. So, you're right, it's simply a question of points in marksmanship.

With Asura Scan, it doesn't even matter. What would I get, maybe 1-5 more dmg? I can also use YMLAD!/any other OP PvE skill because I have near infinite energy. Although, I see what you mean. Marksmenship's Wager is just as good, and it's in Marksmanship. Atleast I don't have to worry about blocking with Zealous, I suppose.
Also, I'd like to add Marksmanship's is a preperation. You can use Read the Wind, so that adds armor-ignoring (right?) dmg, and makes your arrows rarely miss.

Yes, the ability to use a preparation like Read the Wind is the stongest argument in favor of Zealous Vow.

Same build that but i run 12 +1 +1 marksmanship and 12+2 expertise
Drunken master is not that useful since you use fast attack.
Put res on your hero it's a slot waste imho.
My favorite PVE skills
Pain inverter against elementalist and high damage mob (roj, triple chop)
Asuran scan (core of this build)
Ebon Sin to privide kd with hex and fastest kill
You can improve damage adding ebsh

Maybe I'm missing something here but why is their 8+1 in WS? If you drop al those usless point sna put them ito Marksmanshi you will have a much better build.

I like this build and I use it very often with a flatbow to maximize the potential with RTW. I do not agree with summon mursaat/imp/djinn as the support is minimal and PI, YMLAD are superior choices.
I would also leave out Rebirth because you shouldn't be dying if you are doing the damage you are supposed to be doing. If you do bring a rez, make it FoF or Signet.

Woops, you're right. I don't know why I have that lol. Maybe just a habit from PvP builds.
